Summer Reading 2012

Summer reading at New Canaan High School is NOT required. We do maintain a list of recommended books - just for fun.

All the NCHS copies of summer reading books are available for circulation at New Canaan Library in town.

Our list includes adult literature and young adult (YA) titles, award-winning books, student and staff favorites. Poetry, non-fiction and all genres are represented. We have selected classics that are romantic, action packed or both. It is our hope that our students will read, not because they have to, or to get ahead, but simply because it is a great way to lose oneself in another world. While we have made an effort to provide a list that addresses the needs and interests of all NCHS students, not all books on the list will be appropriate for all students.
